About Patrick
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2015 with a triple major in History, Political Science, and Spanish. After graduation, I worked as a bilingual customer service agent for a local company and obtained my TEFL certification. In 2016, I taught at a local group dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees. I lived in Mexico for most of 2017 and taught English to a variety of students from different age groups and backgrounds. I am currently interested in pursing a master's degree in education or public policy. While I teach a variety of subjects, my favorite ones are political science, history, Spanish and ACT/Sat Writing or Reading. My experience in ESL has taught me to be a clearer communicator and that anyone can master a subject given a good tutor, dedication and discipline. In my spare time, I enjoy studying political science and history, writing fiction and political blog posts, running and video games.

I firmly believe that anyone can learn English. The sooner the student makes English a part of his or her life, the sooner they will achieve success. I will engage students in all four areas of language: speaking, listening, reading and writing. There will be conversation, listening and writing exercises, as well as targeted reading. Thanks to modern technology, my students will be able to practice in fun and unique ways relevant to their needs, hobbies and interests.
