About Jan
I am an experienced Flute tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, working with school students, college learners, and working professionals. I have guided students at different stages of their musical journey, from beginners to confident performers.
My teaching philosophy is based on clear fundamentals and patient guidance. I believe music should be learnt in a relaxed and supportive environment. I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly rather than rushing through lessons.
In my flute classes, I teach proper breathing techniques, posture, tone development, finger movement, rhythm control, and musical expression. I also include music theory, sight-reading, and listening practice to build strong musical understanding. For advanced students and professionals, I focus on refining technique and performance skills.
One of my notable achievements is helping students perform confidently at school events, college programmes, and music examinations. Many students have shown steady progress through structured practice routines and regular feedback.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute, build confidence, and develop a long-term connection with music.
