Methodology
My teaching focus is on communicating ideas clearly and effectively with the student doing most of the talking. Of course, I am adaptable to student needs and goals. Whether you are preparing for an interview or a presentation for work, or just want to practice conversation and acquire some new vocabulary, I am here to help. I aim to provide a comfortable environment where you can build confidence and increase your fluency.
Background
I began my teaching career in Barcelona, Spain in 2002, teaching Business English to consultants at Accenture. I spent a year in rural Japan teaching everyone from government workers to teenagers to retirees. Since 2004, I have been teaching in San Francisco, California working with students of all levels and backgrounds. In the past 9 years, my focus has been mainly Business English and I've worked with professionals and aspiring professionals from every field imaginable: from project managers to filmmakers.

As the Platinum Coordinator for St. Giles International in San Francisco, I worked closely with Cory Wees for more than eight years. During that time, I observed Cory’s capability in working with Business English students from all over the world. He demonstrated a consistent and dedicated work ethic, and he helped foster a positive and productive work environment among both students and staff.
In the Platinum Program, we often had students who were high-level executives, government officials and professionals of every field. Cory was always ready for the challenges these students presented and showed great resourcefulness in developing lesson plans tailored to meet student needs.
