About David
I worked in the broadcast journalism industry for 11 years and won several awards. From there, I transitioned to teaching communication...first it was media production at the high school level. Then I moved up to college to teach public speaking, communication theory, news writing, senior research writing, and various other subjects. I have also taught social entrepreneurship classes. I also enjoy helping people craft resumes and write cover letters.

I love using real situations! Your learning will not be hypotheticals. Current events and real life stories provide the best examples for students to see when something works and also to see when something does not work.
I truly believe in taking positive approach to teaching. I encourage students to finish strong rather than prodding them to not miss deadlines. Empowerment is key!
