Hi, I’m Jill — a passionate and experienced tutor with a doctorate-level education and a strong track record of helping students succeed. I bring a calm, thoughtful approach to each session and specialize in building confidence, improving focus, and breaking down challenging academic concepts into manageable steps. About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is grounded in relationship-building, individualized support, and evidence-based strategies. With a doctorate and years of experience working with diverse learners, I bring a deep understanding of how the brain and body work together to support learning, attention, and emotional regulation.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
I tailor each session to the student’s unique learning style, strengths, and needs. I use a blend of structured academic support, visual and hands-on learning strategies, and executive functioning coaching to help students build both knowledge and confidence. Whether we’re working on organization, writing, reading comprehension, or focus, my sessions are interactive, goal-driven, and affirming.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
Each session begins with a quick check-in and a review of the previous session’s goals. We then move into targeted instruction or support, using tools like visual organizers, movement breaks, modeling, and guided practice. We end by reviewing progress, identifying strategies that worked, and setting intentions for the next session.

I bring a holistic perspective rooted in development. I don’t just tutor content—I help students understand how they learn best and develop the skills they need to thrive across environments.

Who I Support:
My lessons are best suited for elementary through high school students who may benefit from personalized academic support, executive functioning strategies, or regulation-focused approaches.
