I believe that the best way to teach is to be patient, understanding and to accept that there is no one size fits all approach. Every student is different. The key is to understand what makes them tick. I am known to have a good sense of humour and the ability to put students at ease. I also understand that the frustration some people may experience as they struggle with the learning process is not a sign of failure but a sign that they do care. Above all else it is important that the student cares. To achieve this I am sure to point out the great things they can achieve in life with good math skills and how the world around them is defined by the beauty of Mathematics. I've also worked in many other professions thus giving me a broader view of the world.
