About Candice
Hello! My name is Candice. I graduated from WSU. I have been teaching special education for 11 years. While in college, I tutored local neighborhood kids and was a home care provider for kids with special needs. As a home care provider, I taught life skills and basic academic skills.
I believe students learn best in a safe, calming and nurturing environment, which I will provide in person or over Zoom meetings. During the lessons, I intentionally provide positive reinforcement to keep the student motivated and feel successful. With dedication, a positive attitude and communication success is achievable!

I have a Bachelors degree in Special Education with a minor in Elementary Education. My lessons are tailored to meet each individual need in all subjects. To do this, I take a small assessment of how the individual learns best and then plan my lessons based on the results. I use a variety of modes of teaching like using technology, manipulatives, singing and learning games to name a few.
