About Carissa
I not only have years of experience teaching kids from age 2-18+, but I have experience teaching on Zoom, working with kids who have disabilities, and assisting teaching artists in convention spaces. My first love for dance was my experience on stage. I have performed pieces that were in the works for months as well as pieces I’ve only learned a week prior to setting it. I value hard work, safe spaces, and versatility for myself as a mover, educator, teacher, and choreographer.

Hello! My name is Carissa, I am a warm, welcoming, student-centered dance teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching in many environments. I’ve worked as assistants at conventions, taught a range of ages and styles in studios, choreographed for competition, and collaborated with many amazing movers! My goal is for my students to feel safe and have fun! We will work together to meet your goals!
