About Espiritu,
Hello! I am a third-year college student, an active competitive chess player, and a dedicated chess tutor. For the past two years, I have trained under the guidance of experienced school coaches and mentors, continuously improving my understanding of chess strategy, tactics, and competitive play.
I have also earned placements in school chess competitions, which have helped me gain practical tournament experience and a deeper appreciation for the game. Through both training and competition, I have learned effective techniques that I now share with my students.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals with clear explanations and structured lessons. I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a genuine enjoyment of chess.
Whether you're a child learning chess for the first time, a beginner looking to master the basics, or an intermediate player aiming to perform better in school tournaments, I can help guide your progress through personalized and enjoyable lessons.
I believe that chess is more than just a game—it is a tool for developing patience, discipline, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills that can benefit students both inside and outside the classroom.
