I teach math through understanding and problem-solving rather than memorizing formulas. I break difficult ideas into simple steps, explain the reasoning behind them. How you got there is the most important thing.
A typical lesson begins by finding out what the student already understands and where they need help. We will learn the concept together, work through examples, and gradually move toward more challenging problems. I encourage students to explain their reasoning. It's most important. Math is also about bravery as well. Not just clean thinking.
As a student who enjoys competitive mathematics, I bring a problem-solving mindset to my lessons, and I specialize in training others too. I also understand what it feels like to struggle with a topic and need someone to explain it confusedly. My lessons are mainly for primary and middle-school and high-school students, covering school math, algebra, geometry, probability, combinatorics, and general problem-solving. If you're someone who doesn't back down from a challenge, from dangerous adventures to centimeter-long problems on paper, together we'll have you to a whole new level. I can do most Cambridge and American curriculum.
