I have been giving classes for few months when I was studying. And it is a type of online class through skype and I worked in tutor in Toppr. My methodology is as follows:
He/She should know basic knowledge like basic calculations.
He/She should be passionate in learning
He/She should be interested in the particular topic/concept of that particular subject.
My teaching way is:
First I try to see his knowledge and the way he approaches the problem given, then I would suggest him/her what were the mistake done. Later I test his knowledge and make him questions free from that particular topic.
