About Jo Ee

Hello, I'm Jo Ee. I graduated from Cherrybrook Technology High School in 2021 and has achieved an atar of 95+ with band 6 in Japanese beginners (state rank #3), PDHPE & Business Studies. I will be studying Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney and has been invited to join the Dalyell Scholar Stream. I've studied English Advanced, Mathematics Advanced, Japanese Beginners, Business Studies and PDHPE for HSC. I’ve had a passion for teaching since young!

About the lesson

As a past HSC student myself, I know the importance of concise notes (focusing on what the HSC syllabus requires), in-depth knowledge of content and familiarity with the structure to answer questions in order to maximise marks. In saying so, these are the main focus I will bring in when tutoring my student. I will also provide my students with the tips and tricks that I've gained and learned during my HSC years, as I believe that this will help my students to study effectively in the given short amount of time. As said to "study smart" not "study hard", is the quote I've always kept at the back of my mind when it comes to studying, planning my study, writing my notes and completing practise responses.

I will have structured lessons that include teaching my students the content they need to know to get ahead at school, consolidate their knowledge, help them to gain confidence in answering responses and so on. However, the individual needs (e.g. need help for specific topics, homework, assignment etc) of my students will be the main focus during the lessons, and thus lessons are tailored to their unique needs and my planned lesson will work around their needs. Furthermore, within this tutoring service, I also provide services (optional) such as checking my student's notes and other resources (e.g. case studies for business studies, speaking script for Japanese, PDHPE notes and sporting examples) to ensure that they have organised and correct information in their notes and resources to study for exams, and not struggling to make/organise their notes last minute. Moreover, I'm happy to work with my student to plan ahead of their term (planning the time for their individual revision etc). I'm providing these optional services within the traditional tutoring service as I'm a believer that procrastination, unorganised study plan/notes and last minute are the main areas apart from content and knowledge that will affect students from performing at their best.
