I communicate consistently to ensure I understand the student's mindset so that the teaching can be aimed at the right level in the right way. Most of my teaching is asking students to explain concepts and walk through methods once I have taught them, so they are actively recalling and committing ideas to memory and then getting in as much exam practice as possible.
