About Andrew
I am an undergraduate student currently studying Molecular Biology at the University of Aberdeen. Major achievements of my life have been raising over 1500 pounds for Cancer Research U.K with a Kayak for Cancer charity event and playing basketball at a professional level in Switzerland. I also volunteered at a farm during lambing season and a veterinary clinic for work experience.
The reason I want to teach is due to my passion for Biology and Chemistry and how I want to help students become passionate about these subjects as well. I also believe I would be able to help students with their education as I am a very motivated and determined individual who wants to help people.

My approach to tutoring involves a combination of visual and verbal learning as well as testing knowledge on a regular basis using exam-style questions. Additionally, lessons would last an hour to allow students to take in the information and not overwhelm them with content.
My qualifications as a tutor are limited to coaching basketball. However, my experience with online learning and my academic success with the International Baccalaureate (scoring 40/45 points) has given me the tools to be an effective tutor for high school students or students doing their GCSE's, MYP, I.B or A-Levels with a focus on Chemistry and Biology.
