About Yuxuan

Hello, my name is YUXUAN. I am a law graduate from one of China’s leading universities, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Melbourne. I come from China and have a deep understanding of and genuine passion for Chinese language and culture. I hope to help people from different parts of the world better understand China. For example, China has an extraordinary diversity of regional cuisines, and we can explore the unique charm of food from different areas together. China also has a five-thousand-year history, and we can discuss the development of different dynasties and how history continues to shape modern Chinese society. During my own journey of learning English, I have gained valuable insights into British, American, and Australian cultures. While studying at the University of Melbourne, I have met many classmates who are eager to learn more about Chinese culture. I believe I can provide a meaningful and engaging platform for cultural exchange and learning. I genuinely enjoy communicating with others and am gentle, patient, and attentive. I have sufficient time to dedicate to teaching and take my responsibilities very seriously. I carefully design personalized learning plans based on each student’s background, interests, and goals. I very much look forward to meeting you and learning together.

About the lesson

I offer online Chinese lessons (e.g. via Zoom) that are fully tailored to each student’s goals and level. If you are a complete beginner, I will guide you step by step starting from Hanyu Pinyin, helping you build accurate pronunciation and a solid foundation with patience and clarity. If you already have some Chinese knowledge and would like to deepen your understanding of the language and Chinese culture, I design lessons around regional cultures across China and teach natural, authentic expressions used by native speakers in real life.
For students who prefer to improve reading and writing skills, lessons can also be conducted through written communication. I provide detailed corrections and feedback in both Chinese and English, helping you understand not only what is wrong, but why.

Each lesson typically lasts 50 minutes.

Chinese is my native language, and I achieved excellent results in Chinese language examinations in China. I hold a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate (Level 2-B). I am also highly proficient in English, with a PTE overall score of 85 and a speaking score of 90, so communication is always smooth and stress-free.
I have extensive private tutoring experience in China, and parents and students have consistently praised my teaching — especially my clear lesson structure, well-prepared materials, and detailed post-lesson summaries, which help students review and make steady progress.

My lessons are suitable for learners of all levels and ages who want to learn Chinese, improve fluency, or gain deeper insight into Chinese culture. Whether your goal is daily communication, cultural understanding, or academic improvement, I will help you learn Chinese with confidence and enjoyment.
