I am engineer and a teacher by profession. I have been teaching math for students who are preparing for olympiads, NTSE, CAT, IIT, JEE MAINS, SAT, GRE. I am currently working with BYJUS the worlds biggest edtech company. I try to make my students self learners eventually.

I teach from basics. First I test the student basic knowledge then move on to higher topics as basics play an important role. Before teaching the topic I feel the student should give a look into the topic on their own and try to understand themselves, then if we teach the topic to the students they connect the missing dots.
