George is a very accomplished tutor, mentor and performer. I had lessons with George for over three years (2016-2-019) and the progress I made was both very satisfying and enduring. George quickly establishes the level that you are at and works on areas of weakness, (for me it was sight reading and navigation) providing a solid foundation to build on. George really challenges you and introduces you to music that really stretches your abilities, and that in turn, makes you want to practice. Lessons are quite intense, but fun and after each session you know you are improving. On a personal level, George is a very warm and friendly tutor and I am privileged to have met him, and continue to correspond with him about creative ideas and projects, even though I now live in another part of the country. I highly recommend George to anyone (beginner or 'advanced') who wants to make meaningful and enjoyable progress and discover new music. I have yet to find another tutor of his calibre. Dan Wright
