About Dominic

I am Dominic Henry Matthews, a composer with a diverse portfolio spanning opera, chamber music, and community orchestras. My work merges traditional and contemporary musical styles, often incorporating ancient instruments, electronic music, and innovative soundscapes.

My educational background includes a Distinction in MusM Instrumental and Vocal Composition from the University of Manchester and a BA (Hons) in Music from the University of York. As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, I bring a broad musical perspective to my teaching, ensuring that students not only develop technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for a wide range of musical styles.

My goal as a guitar tutor is to inspire a lifelong love of music in my students, providing them with the tools and confidence to grow as musicians at their own pace.
