About Carol

My passion for music composition began at age 5. I am a pianist and a guitarist. At the University of Miami in Florida I earned a 3.8 grade average and a masters degree called “Media Writing and Production.” I have two internationally released CD’s and am expertly proficient in the creative process of audio work station production. I’ve work closely with other musicians in preparing for a producing hundreds of recording sessions. Most recently, I released a CD of my music on the international smooth jazz network. I am an experienced piano teacher and have worked with many in my home studio either at the piano or from my Mac-based digital sequencing/recording studio. I teach and compose music in all styles.

About the lesson

My teaching is personal - I enjoy knowing what music inspires and drives my students. I work carefully in understanding ways in which I can motivate my students in crafting their piano technique or composing skills. I encourage students to create achievable goals like preparing for a monthly performance regardless of level or writing a song for a birthday. I always prefer to know what my student’s favorite piece over their most complicated piece. My methodology is a balance of traditional and innovative pedagogy that has been successful in achieving results where many other teachers fail.
