About Caitlin
Hello, future students!
My name is Caitlin, and I’m 21 years old. I want to take a moment to tell you a little about who I am and why I chose to become a teacher.
When I was in secondary school, I faced my fair share of struggles. There were times when learning felt overwhelming and I wasn’t sure I could keep up. But what made all the difference were the people who reached out a hand to help me, who supported and encouraged me when I needed it most. That experience not only helped me through school, but it also shaped who I want to be for others.
I want to teach because I know how powerful it can be to have someone on your side. I want to be that helping hand for you, to guide you through challenges, celebrate your successes, and make learning a place where you feel safe and confident. I believe that every student has the potential to thrive, and I can’t wait to cheer you on as you discover what you’re capable of.

I understand what it feels like to struggle with maths because I’ve been there myself. Learning to overcome those challenges has given me a unique perspective and patience when teaching others. I know how confusing certain topics can seem at first, and I’ve developed clear, step‑by‑step ways to explain them so they finally make sense. My own experience means I can spot where someone is getting stuck, reassure them, and guide them towards those “lightbulb moments” that build real confidence. I believe anyone can succeed in maths with the right approach, and I know how to make that happen.
