Hello! My name is Tate, I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Kansas. I am an experienced high school/college level tutor with clients in Algebra 2, Geometry, Calculus 1, and 3. I also have plenty of experience in chemistry and Physics. I have a passion for mathematics and want to use that to help others.

My approach to tutoring is rooted in a commitment to fostering a connection between myself and the tutor to try and get to a deeper understanding of the subjects being tutored. One of my favorite strategies to use is scaffolded learning, which is breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts and building on previous knowledge.
A typical lesson plan depending on the subject would follow a recap of the previous session. Putting things already touched on to memory. This is followed by a comprehension quiz to show that we are ready to move on. After this is a guided practice of the content at hand. Finished with some independent practice and a recap/follow-up. My level of tutoring ranges from high school to 100/200 level college classes.
