About Fred
My passion for programming began when I discovered how structured logic could be transformed into practical digital tools. I pursued a B.Sc in Computer Engineering followed by an M.Sc in Software Systems, where I developed strong foundations in programming theory and system design. Over the past 11 years, I have supported students in developing confidence and independence in coding through patient, structured instruction. I teach with clarity, encouragement, and adaptability, focusing on helping students understand why code behaves as it does. Many learners who initially feel intimidated gradually develop confidence as they learn how to debug logically and think systematically. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with programming through personal projects, continuous learning, and exploring emerging technologies. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling to me because I see students grow confident in their ability to solve problems and create meaningful solutions through code.

Computer programming becomes manageable when students understand how logical steps combine to create functional software. In my lessons, I guide learners through programming fundamentals such as variables, loops, conditions, functions, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming using structured explanations that emphasise reasoning over memorisation. I help students understand how programs think and respond. Lesson structure is adapted to each learner’s experience level. Beginners explore syntax, basic programs, and logical flow with supportive guidance. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging skills, modular design, and algorithmic thinking. Advanced learners focus on optimisation, project development, software architecture, and interview-style problem-solving. Each lesson includes hands-on coding, explanation, and feedback. Programming lessons also foster persistence, creativity, and structured problem-solving. As students gain confidence, they become more comfortable experimenting, troubleshooting, and improving their own code. My goal is to help learners feel empowered to create solutions independently through technology.
