About Dena
"My PhD in Computational Biology from Stanford informs every line of code I review. Teaching 94 students over 7 years has shown me that biological research requires technical proficiency. I spent 13 years in biotech seeing how data science drives discovery. I focus on debugging techniques and object-oriented programming.
We explore version control using Git to keep projects clean. I also teach SQL and databases alongside problem solving on coding platforms. My approach relies on the idea that logic must precede syntax. I am here to help you navigate these tools effectively."

"Coding outcomes are achievable when you break things down. I usually start by checking where you left off. My PhD gives me a unique perspective on applying syntax to actual scientific problems.
I have 7 years of teaching experience behind my method. We will address version control and database management. The goal is to build your confidence in writing scripts that actually function. A hands-on mini project assigned after every class is the 9 point differentiator of my style.
You will find that these assignments solidify your skills. I look forward to seeing your progress toward your programming goals."
