I prefer giving knowledge in practical ways.
For programming specifically, theory only doesn't bring a change practicality is more important. Hands on experience is must.
So, I prefer teaching through practice on projects.
Take a topic, select a project in which maximum concepts are used.
Sometimes, prior knowledge is also necessary for many topics and I teach them properly in advance before implementing.
