About Nina
I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, worked as a post-doc researcher for one year in a university, one year as a physics/math high school teacher and about 3 years as a private tutor prior to moving to Bay Area to pursue computer science studies at a graduate level. I love helping folks achieve their academic goals and beyond. Nothing makes me more proud than when my students are making progress. I love solving puzzles, writing computer codes, and reading literary book reviews in my spare time. When I graduate, I hope to work in a non-profit as a software engineer.

I teach through several examples. I ask my student lots of questions while tutoring to make sure they are following the discussion. It's very important for me to make sure my students are fully aware why they are learning a specific topic and how that topic is related to the rest of their course. I think connecting dots when learning a new subject is as important as solving homework problems independently.
