About Abhinav

Hello! My name is Abhinav and I'm looking forward to helping you achieve your mathematics goals. Whether you want to master a concept or study it from scratch, I'm here to help. I'm from India but I've had the privilege of studying abroad all my life. I most recently completed my Bachelor's in Computer Science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. I have an International Baccalaureate high-school background from TISA, Azerbaijan. I am very passionate about Mathematics although I was not always very good at it. Over time, my teachers helped me develop skills and strategies that molded me into the mathematician I am today. I look forward to sharing these tips and tricks with my students along with resources catered to the individual student. In my free time, I'm very involved with the Indian community in Ottawa in organizing festival celebrations and events that help new students settle down. I'm incredibly excited to be part of the SuperPROF community and can't wait to start helping you achieve your goals!

About the lesson

My goal as a math tutor is to help develop my students into good mathematicians. Part of being a good mathematician is knowing your weak spots and the gaps in your knowledge. My teaching will focus on understanding concepts through examples and reinforcing them through practice. I will help you solve math problems step by step, and in different ways, so that you can really learn the concepts instead of memorizing them. I can also help you stay ahead by teaching you material in advance so that school is a lot more like revision. At the end of each lesson, we’ll do a quick review of where we are and where you want to get to. So whether it’s filling gaps in your knowledge, learning new concepts, or mastering old ones, you’ve come to the right place!
