About Yewande

I am a computer science student at Aston University, Birmingham, I have previous voluntary experiences of teaching and educating GCSE and primary school students, as well as work experience in teaching assistance at schools

About the lesson

I enjoy teaching students in a way that allows them to be interactive, using worksheets and questions for practice, and for students to develop their own understanding from the solutions I use, increasing their ability to remember these methods in the long term. I also like to explore different options and solutions to a problem, this method is very effective in teaching students as it gives them a range of ways to solve a problem, this is fantastic for time management in exams, it can also give students extra confidence in themselves, for example, in the exam when they are aware of different methods to solve a problem, they can compare their solutions to see if the answers are the same, therefore allowing them to spend more time finishing questions rather than spending time doubting themselves, this can be a major setback under stressful conditions and my teaching methods not only wants to give students the resources they need but to believe in themselves. If I can do it, they can!
