About Jansen
I’m a Computer Science student, software developer, and active builder with several years of hands-on experience in programming, web development, AI, automation, and software projects. I’ve worked on real-world websites, AI-powered tools, startup projects, and technical systems outside the classroom, which helps me connect academic concepts to practical applications.
I regularly join technology events, hackathons, and startup communities, where I continue learning from other students, developers, founders, and professionals. I also frequently tutor my classmates, especially when preparing for exams or understanding difficult topics.
I enjoy breaking complicated concepts into simpler explanations using analogies, visual demonstrations, worked examples, reviewers, and active-recall techniques. As a fellow student, I understand what it feels like to encounter a topic that simply doesn’t click at first, so I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind an answer rather than simply memorizing it.

My lessons are structured around understanding, not just memorization. I usually prepare a clear reviewer that serves as our guide, then we go through each topic step by step while I explain the important concepts in simpler terms.
For difficult ideas, I use analogies and real-life examples. For mathematics and problem-solving subjects, I use an online whiteboard to work through solutions visually.
I also teach effective study methods such as the Feynman Technique, active recall, and flashcards so students can study independently after our sessions. My lessons are best suited for high school and early college students taking mathematics, computer science, programming, and related STEM subjects.
