About Annie
Hi! I'm Annie, a computer science student at the University of Toronto with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in both math and programming. I’ve worked on real-world tech projects, tutored peers, and truly enjoy helping others learn in a way that’s clear, encouraging, and tailored to their needs. As someone who once found certain topics challenging, I understand how important it is to have a tutor who’s patient, supportive, and explains things in a way that clicks. I bring that mindset to every lesson, creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they grow. Whether you're just starting out or looking to strengthen your skills, I’m here to help you build confidence and succeed—with a smile and a step-by-step approach that works.

As a Computer Science student with a strong foundation in both coding and mathematics, I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s learning pace and style. Whether you're a middle school student just starting out or a high schooler preparing for exams or AP classes, I make complex concepts feel approachable and engaging.
My teaching approach focuses on building understanding through hands-on practice and real-life examples. For math, I help students develop problem-solving strategies and logical thinking. For coding, I walk through the fundamentals step by step, eventually guiding students to create their own small projects so they can apply what they’ve learned in a fun and meaningful way.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review to reinforce previous material, followed by a new concept explained clearly with examples. We then work through exercises together, and I always leave time at the end for questions or review.
What sets me apart is my patience, enthusiasm, and ability to explain things in a way that makes sense—especially for students who may be new to the subject or feeling unsure. I create a comfortable space to learn, ask questions, and build confidence.
My lessons are ideal for middle and high school students who want to improve in math, start learning programming (like Python or JavaScript), or strengthen their academic skills with a tutor who genuinely enjoys teaching.
