About Jerry
I am a third-year undergraduate at the University of Sheffield studying Software Engineering, a branch of computer science that is used heavily in the modern world. I have recently completed a "Year in Industry" in the same field, giving me the real world experience that schools struggle to provide. I can go deep into specific questions, or answer broad queries relating to computer science. I also understand the stress that is caused from exam periods, whether it be GCSE, A level or applying for university. As a tutor, I can be reassuring as well as educational.

I make computer science and programming simple, practical, and easy to follow. My lessons focus on breaking tricky ideas into small, clear steps, a practice used heavily in the world of computing. I mix short explanations with hands-on tasks, so students stay active and build real confidence. Lessons are usually 60 minutes, but I can adjust to suit what you need. I’m an experienced programmer with a strong background in software development and mentoring. I teach GCSE and A-Level Computer Science students, as well as beginners who want to learn to code. Whatever your level, I can help you improve and enjoy the subject. Lesson Overview: - In a standard hour, I will help in tackling tough concepts students face. These range from exam practice to programming concepts. - I will provide resources throughout the lesson that offer greater support for students than a conventional exam paper or lesson slide. - I am willing to go beyond the scope of the topic to greater involve students and prompt thought-provoking questions.
