About Sean
I am a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Nottingham with a strong passion for mathematics and computing. During my A-Levels, I did Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, achieving A* grades in each. Through this, I not only developed a thorough understanding of the subjects but also gained valuable insights into the workings of A-Levels and GCSEs, working out effective strategies to do well while maintaining a manageable workload. I have over 150 hours experience of tutoring both virtually and in person to children of all ages, meaning I am familiar with the online environment as well as the different way people learn.

I'm a strong believer that the style of tutoring for best progression is dependent on the student at hand, meaning I will keep a regular line of communication both before and after the session to adapt appropriately to the students needs. However, typically I keep it very interactive, working through 1 or 2 questions together, and then leaving the student with time to try questions on their own, either provided by me, or they can bring their own. There is always the option to ask questions when needed or discuss a topic instead of doing questions. I will always try to be as conversational as possible when tutoring, meaning that the student will never be confused or worried about anything at the end of the lesson, and that they can get the most out of their time. I offer maths and computer science at GCSE and A-Level, and am able to do lower level maths also.
