About Pelumi
Hello, I'm Akinola Pelumi, a Computer Scientist who’s super passionate about programming and technology. I still remember how confusing coding felt when I first started, I often wished I had someone to break things down in a simple way. That’s exactly why I teach! I love helping beginners step into the world of programming without feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to make coding fun, practical, and easy to grasp, so you can start building real projects with confidence. I have experience with Python, C, and Java, and I’ve taken courses like Mathematical Thinking in Computer Science (UC San Diego) and Data Handling & Machine Learning. But more importantly, I know what it’s like to learn from scratch, so I focus on teaching in a way that actually makes sense. I believe in a hands-on, project-based approach to teaching programming. My classes focus on simplified explanations, practical examples, and real-world applications. I break down complex topics into easy-to-understand concepts, ensuring students learn by doing rather than just memorizing theory.
Each lesson includes:
1. Simple breakdown of the topic.
2. Practical coding sessions.
3. Real-world applications to reinforce learning.
4. Answering questions and debugging together.
1 hour per session (can be adjusted based on student preference).
Each session includes theory (50%) and hands-on coding (50%).
I am a Computer Scientist with expertise in Python, C, and Java. I have experience teaching programming remotely and have completed courses in Mathematical Thinking in Computer Science (UC San Diego) and Data Handling & Machine Learning projects.
I also specialize in helping complete beginners get started with coding, making complex topics easy to grasp.
