I’m a business and journalism double major student with a minor in architecture with experience performing classical and playing different genres. I have experience teaching beginners and intermediate levels privately at a music academy in Redwood City.

Generally I approach teaching by first understanding what about piano the student wants to learn or excites them- if that’s popular music, a certain genre, movies, songwriting, or working out of a book- I believe the learning process goes much smoother if the student is invested in the topics as much as I am. For beginners, usually we tackle note reading, rhythm and technique(good hand positions and posture) and for intermediates, theory’s a good next step among the others.
