Masters of Fine Arts in Piano Performance from University of California, USA. Many years of continued education and experience. Working as an evaluator and judge for competitions and exams has added to my experience as a teacher.
I've also been fortunate to travel the world performing in a symphonic concert for video games; I'm happy to share my practice tips and training from my experiences.
I have worked with all types of students and all ages of students, from precocious five-year-olds to senior hobbyists. I have worked with students with great talent, and those who have a learning disability and find music a benefit and a blessing.
When interviewing a student, I review any previous materials used and ask the student to play something for me. I also check their sightreading and ear training ability. Afterwards, I establish a curriculum using technique, theory, and a variety of repertoire including the classics and music of personal interest to the student. I'll let you know what I think your strengths and weaknesses are.
Rates are based on my experience, training, background, and my committment to music (my schedule is not diluted with other forms of work). I also attend workshops and meetings to keep updated on the latest music education trends.
