About Valissa
With over 30 years of violin teaching experience, Dr Willwerth holds a Doctorate in Violin from Rutgers University and is a frequent violin substitute in both the first and second violin sections of The Philadelphia Orchestra (over 20 yrs). In addition to performing during their regular concert season at the Kimmel Center, her performances with the orchestra have included multiple tours to Asia, Europe, and North, Central and South America, summer concerts in Vail, CO and Saratoga, NY, as well as numerous orchestral recordings with multiple major conductors.
As a violin teacher, she has worked with students from the very beginning levels to the very advanced/professional, including young children through older adults.

Adults and children are welcome to join the existing violin studio in South Jersey with a warm and friendly environment, taught by Dr Valissa Willwerth, a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional concert violinist.
Ability to read music preferred, but beginning through very advanced levels are all welcome! Lessons are appropriately challenging yet nurturing and suited to the individual level/goals/ability of the student.
