About Zena
With 12 years of experience as an ESL tutor, I have taught 150–200 High School and College students, helping them improve their English skills and academic performance.
Teaching is my passion because I love helping students gain confidence and achieve their goals. I focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking, providing clear explanations and practical exercises. I aim to make lessons interactive and enjoyable.
A key milestone in my career has been helping students transform from hesitant speakers into confident English communicators. Many have achieved higher exam scores and excelled in presentations and discussions.
I customise my teaching approach according to each student’s needs and pace. My mission is to guide students towards becoming confident, independent, and successful learners.

My ESL teaching methodology is student-centred, interactive, and practical. I use real-life examples and case studies to make learning meaningful, including workplace communication, academic tasks, travel conversations, and daily life situations.
Students practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing through role plays, discussions, and writing exercises. Motivation is an important part of my classes. I provide encouragement, track progress, and celebrate small achievements to build confidence. When difficulties arise, I use problem-solving techniques to simplify concepts and provide targeted exercises.
Integrity is a core value in my teaching, and I maintain honesty, respect, and professionalism. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons based on student goals, learning styles, and levels. Alongside ESL, I teach spoken English, grammar improvement, business communication, and academic writing.
