About Kyle
I am a committed saxophone tutor with 11 years of experience working with college students. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and continuous improvement. I focus on helping students develop both technical skill and musical expression.
My lessons cover tone quality, breath management, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and performance preparation. I combine structured exercises with creative activities like improvisation to keep learning interesting and enjoyable. Real-world music examples help students connect practice with actual playing.
I use modern teaching tools such as recording feedback, interactive play-along sessions, and structured practice plans to make progress clear and motivating. I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to support complete musical development.

My Saxophone teaching methodology is based on creativity, guidance, and responsibility. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident. Lessons are planned according to the student’s level and focus on essential skills such as breath support, tone production, embouchure control, finger technique, articulation, and music reading.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation exercises, melody exploration, and learning music from different styles. I act as a mentor by guiding students patiently, offering encouragement and practical advice to help them stay motivated. I believe mentorship plays an important role in long-term musical growth.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to understand rhythm patterns, scales, and musical structure instead of memorizing notes. Accountability is built through structured practice plans, goal setting, and regular progress reviews. In addition to Saxophone, I teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, and Performance Basics to help students become well-rounded musicians.
