Over the past 20 years, I have gained experience in multiple techniques when perfecting my playing. I believe that each student should be taught and evaluated based on their skills and preferred learning method. As a teacher, I strive to teach violin techniques through the use of musical expression and allow my students to explore their interests on the violin. Lesson plans will be created based on the level of the student and the goals identified early on in teaching. Since each student is different, I will guide my education by using a repertoire that inspires the student to learn and grow while creating an enjoyable and engaging experience. I believe that anyone can play the violin with the right tools to guide their journey in music and I hope to use my knowledge and skills to help students thrive as they learn this incredible instrument!
Having played both violin and piano since the age of four, music and performance have been an integral part of my life. I attended several prestigious music festivals during high school, including the Philadelphia International Music Festival, where I served as concertmaster in several orchestral performances, the Meadowmount School of Music, and the McDuffie Center for Strings Labor Day Festival. I attended the Eastman School of Music, where I received my bachelor's in violin performance. In addition, I served as concertmaster at the Brevard Music Center in 2016.
I also offer 30 minute lessons for younger students starting at $15.
Perfect! Liz made the lesson very comfortable. After playing a short time she could pinpoint areas that I needed to focus on and provided suggestions on how to practice effectively. I'll definitely continue lessons with Liz going forward
