About Marquita
I have been teaching private music lessons for a few decades now, and I enjoy sharing music with others. My main goal is for my students to have fun while learning music. I also aim to have my students have a balance of aural (ear training) skills and the ability to read music well.

I incorporate music history and music theory into each lesson so my students can understand why they are playing what they are playing and quite possibly where it comes from so the music has more meaning to you. Also I give you the opportunity to create your own music and express yourself through writing and eventually accompanying others playing instruments or singing. We get out into our communities and perform also so there's the opportunity to share music with others if students are interested in performance opportunities.
