About George

I have a lot of excitement and passion for music, specifically for free flow expression through songwriting on the piano and voice. I wish to share this excitement with my students and help you discover your individual spark and creative expression.

About the lesson

I believe Singing is a healing practice that can uncover your individual and unique expression. I typically teach hour lessons, beginning with vocal coaching techniques in belt, chest and head. Using visualisation and intuitive techniques to listen to and feel into the body, we work on getting the desired tone with minimal stress and effort, before releasing control and allowing free flow performance. The latter part of the lesson is usually focused on developing singing the music you love, helping to either develop understanding of style, context and how to alter your voice to suit different genres. Furthermore, I can teach improvisation and songwriting as part of my lessons, helping you to uncover your own personal style. As well as my specialist areas, I also have lots of experience teaching children and beginners alike. I can tailor lessons to your individual needs as I have Classical Training and experience singing Jazz, Rock, Pop and many other genres.

24Hr Cancellation Policy - If a scheduled lesson cannot be attended but you do not let me know within 24hrs of the slot, I will ask for the payment anyway, as otherwise I could give my slot to another pupil. Of course I would make allowances for emergencies but hope you understand :)
