About Karima
I have 5 years of prior experience working in the financial industry, working in one of Canada's largest bank and then in the world's 3rd largest asset management company. I also have a Mutual Fund License and majored in education. Nowadays, I am a creative and I run a Youtube channel called "The Financial Creative" where I educate creatives like me about personal finance.
I'm passionate about money and finance, and I believe there is a big gap in personal finance literacy especially in high school and college, which are the most formative years for a young adult about to start their active lives. I intend to share my passion with my students and hopefully give them tools and knowledge to make the best financial decisions.

Hi! I'm a creative and educator who's passionate about personal finance. My goal is to teach as many people as I can about how money works so they become empowered with their financial decisions.
Since I'm a content creator, my teaching method involve more than didactics. I use real life case examples to explain complex ideas, like graphics, news articles, videos, etc. Some examples of the topics I may cover are: Macroeconomics basics, Supply vs demand, Debt, Money vs capital market, Retirement, Types of Investments, Registered vs non-registered accounts, etc.
After each class, I give all students one question (e.g. "In which case is it recommended to invest in bonds and why?") to encourage them to research the subject while rethinking about the topic we discussed in class.
My classes are for high schoolers (grade+11) and young adults in general. My classes are perfect for anyone interested in studying finance in college or university or to teach the very basics of personal finance that any adult should know about.
