About Victoria

Hello! I am a socially-conscious content creator and growing digital marketer. My goal is to create content that creates change.

I pride myself in producing consistently thoughtful work that exceeds expectations. This includes making insightful analyses, drawing compelling inferences, and presenting them in an impactful way.

Outside of work, my interest in the human condition drives me towards philosophy, psychology and the big questions. I founded, host and produce @TheTrulyOtherPodcast to normalise these conversations.

About the lesson

First Steps in Mandarin Chinese (45 minutes per lesson, perfect for beginners):
Using stories and activities, we will focus on developing basic conversational skills. We'll progress through 3 stages.
-Stage 1: We work through the Chinese pinyin system, which includes consonants, vowels, and tonality. We will learn how to form words using the pinyin system.
-Stage 2: We begin to string together words to form conversational sentences.
Stage 3: We match written simplified Chinese words to the pinyin alphabet words, and attach them to the sentences.

Functional Mandarin Chinese (1 hour per lesson, perfect for conversational Chinese speakers looking to improve):
-In this programme, you are in control. I am committed to partnering you in working towards your goals. Whether you'd like to learn industry-specific terms, or translation tips, or help with writing a CV or cover letter in Chinese, I am here for you. 100% customisable to your needs.

-Bilingual in English and Chinese with Native Level Fluency
-Graduated with a BA in Communications & Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo
-Excelled in the Han Yu Shui Ping Kao Shi (HSK) International Chinese Proficiency Exam at the Highest Level 6
-Please note that I am not certified as a tutor, and I understand if this gives you hesitations. However, I have experience in copywriting in English and translation in Chinese, and have helped friends and family. :)
