About Elmar

I have been teaching for 35 years. Workshops with various instrumental groups. The number of students after this time is still a big group. What interests me most is the exchange with the students and the passing on of my experience as a musician and performer all over the world. I particularly like to develop my own musical language with the students with the contrabass and to include different techniques like flow technique or the distribution of cognition and the so-called self-guidance.

The basics of MUSik rhythmics, theory of grades, sense of harmony, musical background knowledge are playfully integrated into the lessons. The lesson will be individually tailored to the student. The bowing technique of the great double bass violin Ludwig Streicher will be part of the practice sessions. dDA's pizzicato playing with the fingers of the right hand Two-Three Fingers system is worked out in jazz and improvisation through special practice methods. In addition to conventional learning methodology, the body of the instrument should also be included in its variety of sound production. The aim is to develop their own musical language with the double bass.
