About Caleb
Hi, I’m a Control Systems Engineer at Caterpillar with a strong background in Electrical Engineering. My focus is on helping college students develop a solid understanding of both mathematics and electrical engineering concepts. I cover material up to Linear Algebra, including topics such as vectors, matrices, eigenvalues, and systems of equations. Additionally, I teach core electrical engineering subjects like circuits, signals, and basic systems. For students who are also learning to code, I provide support in Python and C++ within an engineering context, linking theoretical concepts from class to real-world problems encountered in the industry.

Sessions are held on weekends only, with flexible 45 to 90-minute blocks available on Saturday and Sunday. Meetings take place over Zoom or Teams, utilizing screen sharing for live problem walkthroughs. Each session can include targeted preparatory materials and follow-up practice, ensuring that students leave with both clarity and concrete next steps.|
Having tutored Electrical Engineering previously, I rely heavily on real-world examples from industrial controls to make abstract ideas more intuitive and memorable. Students ranging from elementary students to college age students are encouraged to send their syllabus or problem set in advance for a free 10-minute consultation to confirm compatibility. I respond quickly to messages throughout the weekend.
