About Karen
Language is essentially musical in its cadence, so I teach it by focusing on the natural rhythm of speech. If we are working on interview preparation or travel Spanish, I ensure we move at a pace that feels productive yet calm for you.

Dusty Spanish records play softly in the background as we sit down to talk. My Diploma of Music from JMC Academy taught me the importance of listening, a skill I now apply to language instruction. Having taught for 13 years, I recognize that grammar is only half the battle.
I love helping students navigate the subtle differences between Latin American and Castilian variants. We spend time on vocabulary building and idioms, but the real fun begins when we start role play and dialogue practice. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch a beginner gain the confidence to string together their first complex sentences. Seeing you succeed makes the entire process worth it.
