About Clinton

Moving from Mexico City to the US sparked my transition into teaching 5 years ago. Honestly, I find that grammar rules often intimidate people before they actually try speaking. I earned my Licenciatura in Hispanic Philology and an MA in Spanish, I bring a strong academic foundation to my teaching.

My teaching style relies on 5 years of experience helping students from total beginners to AP candidates. Many learners struggle with the fear of making mistakes, but I find that real fluency starts when you embrace the process. I hope to see you in class soon for a great conversation.

About the lesson

Focusing on communication before drills ensures that language learning remains an organic experience. Integrating the nuances of Latin American and Castilian variants happens naturally during our talk time.

My background with an MA allows me to break down complex verb conjugation or tricky accent and intonation issues only when you hit a wall. You will receive weekly conversation practice recordings that we review together to sharpen your listening and pronunciation skills.

By focusing on vocabulary building and travel Spanish in context, we cover writing skills and interview preparation as they arise. I draw on my academic training to help you sound natural, expressive, and authentic.

You get clear feedback on your phrasing that helps you sound like a local in Buenos Aires or Mexico City.
