About Jeremy
I'm a professional chef with over 15 years of experience. I've worked in farm-to-table restaurants in NYC and Washington state. I have a New York State teaching certificate in Culinary Careers 7-12. I taught culinary arts to students aged 11 through 21 in public schools. I also have experience training as a supervisor and head chef. I love working with people to improve their cooking experiences. In my free time, I enjoy walks in parks, playing instruments, and practicing yoga.

I meet students where they are and carefully consult with them to learn what their experience is, what their strong areas are, areas for improvement, and set SMART goals together. I value physical and food safety, professionalism, and productivity in the kitchen. I also care about health, wellness, and having fun!
A typical lesson plan may include a captivating hook, a demonstration, performing tasks together, then offering you the ability to perform independently.
This could be cooking a meal from start to finish, depending on your goals.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my extensive experience in the field including fine dining, farm-to-table cuisine, as well as experience teaching students of diverse abilities as a special education culinary arts teacher. I also personally have dietary restrictions that highly shape the meals I prepare.
