About Kevin
Beyond academics, I have worked as a tutor and mentor, helping students improve their understanding and confidence in their studies. I have also taught younger children through educational and volunteer programs, which strengthened my communication skills and ability to connect with students of different ages and backgrounds.
I believe that good teaching starts with empathy and patience. As someone who has recently completed the IGCSE and IB programs, I understand the challenges students face and can provide practical advice alongside academic support. My goal is not only to help students achieve strong results but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am an incoming student at Cornell University. I recently graduated from NLCS Jeju, one of South Korea's leading IB international schools.
I achieved a 43/45 IB Predicted Grade, with 7s in HL Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics AI, an A* in IGCSE Additional Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Having completed both the IGCSE and IB curricula myself, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies needed to succeed.
My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I help students build strong foundations, develop problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their abilities. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether they are aiming to improve their grades, prepare for examinations, or deepen their understanding of a subject.
I have experience tutoring students academically and teaching younger children through mentoring and educational programs. This has helped me develop the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learning needs.
