About Norah
Hi! I'm a student at Cornell University with a genuine love for math and science, not just as subjects I've done well in, but as ways of thinking and problem-solving that I find myself using every day. What I enjoy most about tutoring is the human side of it: getting to know how a student thinks, figuring out where things aren't clicking, and finding the right way to explain something so that it finally makes sense.
I've worked with students across a wide range of ages and levels, and one thing I've learned is that most students who struggle aren't lacking ability; they're missing one or two foundational pieces that nobody ever helped them fix. I find that really rewarding to identify and work through together.
I'm patient, easy to talk to, and I always make sure students feel comfortable asking questions without any judgment. I know what it feels like to sit with a concept that just isn't making sense yet, and I bring that empathy into every session.

I'm a student at Cornell University with a strong academic background across math and science, including a 5 (the highest possible score) on the AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology exams, as well as top grades in university-level coursework at Cornell. I have hands-on tutoring experience working with students at multiple levels, from a 5th grader across all core subjects to Cornell peers in Calculus 1. So I'm comfortable adapting my teaching style to fit wherever a student is starting from.
I specialize in Mathematics, Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, and Science, and I work with students from middle school all the way through college introductory courses. Whether you're preparing for a Regents exam, the AP exam, or just trying to build a stronger foundation, I focus on making sure students genuinely understand the material rather than just memorizing procedures, because that's what actually leads to lasting improvement.
I'm patient, organized, and good at identifying exactly where a student is getting stuck and addressing it directly. My goal in every session is to leave the student feeling more confident and more capable than when we started.
