About Benson

As a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. candidate entering my fifth year and preparing for my doctoral internship in Arizona, I bring a deeply supportive and individualized approach to tutoring. Drawing from my extensive background in academic publishing and university-level teaching, I love helping students master psychology, research methods, and statistics. I know these subjects can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to break down complex concepts into manageable pieces, build your academic confidence, and provide the tailored support you need to succeed.

About the lesson

I work hard to help my students feel supported and get the tailored help they need. With several years of experience as both a primary university instructor and a teaching assistant, I am excited to work with students at any stage of their academic journey.

My background as a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. candidate heavily informs my teaching style. I know that subjects like statistics and research methods can feel murky or intimidating at first, and psychological concepts can sometimes seem abstract. My goal is to provide clarity to these topics. Whether you are an undergraduate tackling an intro course, or a graduate student needing help with data cleaning, SPSS, or running statistical models in R, I provide the clarity, patience, and practical guidance you need to succeed.
